Melissa, Special Events Coordinator

Duties: Manager of PR's special events.

Melissa has worked in the field of orthodontics and with Dr. Thompson since 2003. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is the professional, inviting, and growing practice itself, and that the staff compliments each other well. Melissa's favorite thing about working with Dr. Thompson is that he takes his job to heart. She enjoys seeing the joy he has when he makes patients' smiles beautiful. Her favorite thing about her job is that she gets to be as creative as she desires. Melissa is a native of Merrimack, NH. She currently lives in Bradenton, FL, with her husband, Jeff, daughters, Bryanna and Ella Grace, and sons, Evan and Easton. Melissa enjoys working out, cooking, spending time with and enjoying each one of my children.

Maria "Mia", New Patient and Records Tech / Orthodontic Assistant 

Duties: Consultations for new patients and taking all new/final records.

Maria has worked with Dr. Thompson in the field of orthodontics since 1985-1988 and again in 2004-present. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is seeing the results of a patient's treatment. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Thompson is his sense of humor. Meeting new patients and working on tracings for surgical patients is her favorite part of her job. Maria is a native of Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, and has lived in Florida since 1985.

Mia's family includes her husband, Robert, and daughters Brianne and Blair. When she's not working, Maria enjoys horseback riding, gardening, and going to car shows.

Janean, Patient Accounts Manager

Duties: Contracts, billing, collections, insurance.

Janean has worked in the field of orthodontics and with Dr. Thompson since 1996. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is watching the before and after of each patient. Her favorite part of the job is working with patients and parents and meeting new people. A native of Florida, Janean has lived in Bradenton since 1970. She has a son, Joey, and a daughter, Kristi. When not working with Dr. Thompson, she enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with family, and church.

Darla, Business Manager

Duties: Office Bookkeeper, Accounting, Human Resources.

Darla has worked in the field of orthodontics and with Dr. Thompson since 1988. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is being a part of a team that contributes to creating a positive outlook for patients. "I love what our office stands for and how the doctor and staff work together to make beautiful healthy smiles." Darla feels that her work has been and will continue to be one of her greatest opportunities.

Darla's favorite thing about working with Dr. Thompson is that, for many years, it has proven to be a real asset for her because of the establishment of a certain trust. "Dr. Thompson has given me the freedom to help the practice grow by allowing my ideas to become realities. Working in this capacity keeps everything fresh and has proven beneficial for the growing practice." She truly enjoys the consistent mind stimulation of running the behind-the-scenes part of the practice. "I have been here for 20 years and still enjoy what I do at my job and this title carries a lot of responsibilities and never leaves room for monotony."

Darla is a native of Florida and has lived in Bradenton since 1963. Outside of work Darla enjoys gardening, and family time with her spouse, Robin, and daughter, Katlynne.

Brooke, Orthodontic Assistant / Director / Social Media

Duties: Assist Dr. Jeff at Chair side, Lab Work/ New patient and Final records/ Website/ Facebook.

Brooke has worked in the field of orthodontics and with Dr. Jeff since 2003. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is helping patients accomplish a beautiful smile, being one on one with the patients, and really getting to know who they are. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Jeff is how much he knows about orthodontics. "He's smart, funny and we all have a great time working for him." Brooke's favorite thing about her job is her co-workers – they are so wonderful it's like coming to work and being with your second family. Brooke is a native of Bradenton, Florida, and has lived here since 1982. When not at work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve and her two boys, Landon and Lane as well as spending time with her friends and family.

Shannon, Orthodontic Assistant

Duties: Assistant to Dr. Jeff

Shannon has worked in the Orthodontic field since 1991 and worked with Dr. Jeff from 1991-1997 And returned to work with Dr. Jeff in 2014. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is seeing the beautiful smiles I help to create. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Jeff is his relationship with the patients and his reputation for creating great smiles. Shannon's favorite thing about her job is her interaction with the patients and working with a wonderful staff. Shannon is a native of Genoa,Ohio and has lived in Bradenton/Palmetto, Fl since 1979. When not at work, Shannon enjoys being with her husband, daughter and son. She also enjoys fishing, crafts and watching movies with her family. 

 

  Angia, Front Desk

 Duties: front desk scheduling 

Angia has worked in the Orthodontic field and with Dr. Jeff since July 2014. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is working with great staff members and meeting the patients. He favorite thing about working with Dr. Jeff is watching his interaction and response to his patients. Angia's favorite thing about her job is the people. Angia is a native of North Florida. When not at work, Angia enjoys camping, fishing, football, nascar and spending time with her family.

 

 Josie, Sterilization tech

 Duties: sterilization, bend wires, clean chairs, instruments

Josie has worked in the orthodontic field and with Dr. Jeff since 2014. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is seeing how everyone helps one another. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Jeff is it's always a learning experience. Josie's favorite thing about her job is knowing that we made a difference in the patients life. Josie is native of Bradenton, Fl. When not at work, Josie enjoys the outdoors, boating, fishing,biking, shopping and family gatherings. 

 

Autumn, Orthodontic Assistant

  Duties: chair side assistant to Dr. Jeff

Autumn has worked in the orthodontic field since 2012 and with Dr. Jeff since 2014. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is working in a positive atmosphere and working with such a great doctor and team. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Jeff is the fact that he is such a great teacher with a positive attitude and a great sense of humor. Autumn's favorite thing about her job is looking at the before and after photos and knowing you made a positive difference in their lives.  Autumn is a native of MN and now lives in Gulfport, Fl. When not at work, Autumn enjoys  going to the beach, spending time outdoors and with her family. 

 

 Veronica, Orthodontic Assistant

 Duties: chair side assistant to Dr. Jeff

Veronica has worked in the orthodontic field and with Dr. Jeff since 2014. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is watching smiles become perfect. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Jeff is his teaching ability so the patients understand what's going on. Veronica's favortie thing about her job is seeing the patients bright beautiful smile at the end of treatment. Veronica is a native of Naples, Fl and now lives in Bradenton,Fl. When not at work, Veronica enjoys reading, spending time with family and her dog. 

 

 Brenda, Receptionist

 Duties: scheduling appointment, answering phones, patient check in and check out

Brenda has worked in the orthodontic field and with Dr. Jeff since 2014. Her favorite thing about the practice of orthodontics is watching the patients transform their smiles. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Jeff is that he has a great sense of humor and making the patients feel special when he is at their chair. Brenda's favorite thing about her job is interacting with the patients and seeing the transformation of smiles. Brenda is a native of Columbous, OH and recently moved to Florida with her husband. When not at work, Brenda enjoys spending time with family. Brenda worked for an Oral surgeon for 24 yrs. Brenda has a son who is married and who served in the US Airforce.
