Using state-of-the-art digital technology, Invisalign aligners are just as effective as regular braces, but far more convenient, since the aligners are comfortable, removable, and almost completely invisible. Invisalign is a magnificent way to aesthetically and efficiently change your smile and life!

How Does Invisalign® Work?

During your initial consultation, Dr. Jeffrey Thompson will take a full set of photos and digital bite impressions, which you’ll be able to view on our 42” monitor. We will go over all your questions and concerns, and map out a specific course for your orthodontic journey with Invisalign.

When you receive your Invisalign aligners, you’ll wear each set for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move, slowly but surely, until they have straightened to the final position prescribed by our orthodontists. You’ll also visit our office every four to eight weeks so we can make sure your treatment is progressing on schedule. The average treatment time with Invisalign is between eight and 15 months, though this will vary from case to case.

When your treatment is complete and your teeth are perfectly aligned, you’ll receive a set of retainers, either fixed or removable, to help your teeth settle into their new positions. The longer you wear your retainer, the lower your chances are that your teeth will shift back to their original positions.
